Eclectica Contemporary is pleased to present Lit Up, a solo show by Lars Fischedick.

For years, Lars Fischedick’s work inhabited the shadowy realms of deep, brooding palettes neon flashes like distant stars punctuating expanses of dark matter. But with Lit Up, Fischedick steps into a new atmosphere, where geometry softens under pastel skies. The hard edges of his forms, meticulously carved into wood, are now bathed in hues that echo dawn and dusk, shifting with the arc of the sun.

These works resist permanence. Light plays across their surfaces, bending perception as the hours pass. One moment, they seem grounded, familiar. The next, they dissolve into luminous illusions, the geometry flickering between presence and absence like echoes of the Op Art of Bridget Riley or the architectural lyricism of Frank Stella’s reliefs. Yet Fischedick’s affinity for material wood, raw and tactile roots his practice in a tradition closer to Donald Judd, where the object is inseparable from its form and environment.

Lit Up feels like a turning point, a conscious movement from the subterranean toward the celestial. By trading the neon hum for the glow of soft pigments, Fischedick’s latest body of work reflects not only light but transformation.
