Baba Tjeko (b. 1985) is a multidisciplinary South African artist who works between Parys and Johannesburg. His artistic journey began as a cartoonist and illustrator, contributing to community and national publications. This early foundation led him to study creative multimedia, specializing in advertising design. Today, Tjeko’s work spans various disciplines, including drawing, painting, sculpture, animation, and design, showcasing a deep versatility and a broad creative scope.

Select Exhibitions:

  • Tjeko collaborated with Mini South Africa to release the African Limited edition Clubman, branded with his artwork. As part of Mini activations, Tjeko painted a large mural live at the first ArteBotanica 2019. He also worked on Channel O’s new on-air look, branded merchandise, and installations at DJ Black Coffee’s Music Is King concerts, Fact Durban Rocks and AKA Orchestra On The Square.
